How often should I get my carpets cleaned?

We recommend to all our clients that they should have their carpets and soft furnishings cleaned every 12-18 months.

How much do you charge?

The cost of cleaning your carpets properly is dependent on varying factors but our pricing structure starts from industry standard prices per m2. We generally don’t quote over email or the phone and will always look to attend your property to carry out a thorough survey and run some tests on your carpet to determine the best and safest way to clean your carpets. We believe that our service is second to none, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve had my carpets cleaned by another company but they are still wet and smell damp?

It’s all too common unfortunately, under powered machinery, untrained users and incorrect cleaning methods can and will cause damage. We commonly get called in to clean up after cheap carpet cleaners, it’s frustrating, but we often find that once we’re called in and sort out the problem, our clients stick with us year after year.

Your quote was more expensive, why are other companies so cheap?

Various reasons that we won’t go in too, but the age old saying “Pay cheap, pay twice” is most definitely a common saying in our industry, as is, “You get what you pay for”. When Powerdean clean your carpets, you can be assured that they won’t require cleaning again for another 12-18 months, depending on traffic levels and your maintenance regime. In the long run, using our service first time around will save you money.

My dog/cat/child has had an accident, can you help?

No problems! Whilst we can never guarantee complete stain removal, we are fully trained and qualified in spot stain removal and will generally improve, if not completely remove, the vast majority of stains using a number of professional spot stain removal products and techniques. We will always advise whether we expect the stain removal treatment to be successful, prior to starting work.

I’ve tried to clean my carpets/a stain by myself but it looks worse?

Many off the shelf spot stain removal products or rental machines that you can acquire in the supermarket are not all they cracked up to be and generally do more damage than you think, the machines, whether rented or purchased are generally under powered and will leave your carpets wet for days causing damp and mould issues in the backing and underlay. Spotting agents can sit in your carpet without a method of extraction and can bleach the colour right out of the carpet. We have eco-friendly spotting sprays available to purchase and supply one free of charge to all our clients who book a clean of over £100.

Can you protect a carpet/upholstery fabric?

Yes you can, and yes we do. Our professional grade carpet and upholstery protector is one of the finest products to guard against oil and water based staining. Newly laid wool carpets that you maybe don’t require cleaning, can be protected with a bit of preparation to the surface before hand.
